Hi, I’m Alicia

I’m a meditation and yoga teacher and a wellbeing coach.

I am a 400-hr qualified meditation teacher and studied with Jacqui Lewis from The Broad Place, and with Charlie Knoles at the Veda Centre.

I have a degree in lifestyle and wellbeing coaching from the Endeavour College of Natural Health.

I love thinking about wellbeing – what it means for me, for you and your neighbour, and for our communities. And contemplating how we can think about wellbeing to make Australia a better place to live, for everyone.

Why meditation and wellbeing? Why me? I have been interested in how to be well and in policy making since I was in university. I am an economist with a PhD in public policy, a policy maker, a mum to 3 boys under 7, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a social connector, a nature-lover, a bibliophile, a study nut, and a coffee lover.

I live on Ngunnawal land (Canberra) with my family, two cats, an overgrown garden, and a muster of peacocks that descend from time to time to feast on my vegetable garden (also, what a great collective noun!).

Get in touch if you want to learn more about meditation and ways to boost your wellbeing.

My Approach

Modern life is busy, and at times overwhelming. We all wear many hats. Sometimes we just need a little help working out which hats to keep (and which hats to stash at the back of the closet for another season).

I like to weave many different disciplines together to get the best results for your wellbeing.

If you are stressed and overwhelmed, in addition to meditation, we might dip our toes into experimenting with self-leadership techniques, productivity, nutrition, and gut health.

If you are finding the mental load of trying to keep all the balls in the air is burning you out, we might work on developing daily and seasonal rituals for calm, and look at techniques to share the mental load at home or at work.

If you are traveling along pretty well, but want to level-up, we might look at mantra-based meditation, breathwork, new approaches to work or relationships, or new goal setting techniques.

Dream it

I have used some of these techniques for years - and have read the scientific literature to work out why it works! We all go through ups and downs, but being able to improve your baseline wellbeing, through meditation and other tools, is important for everyone.

Build it

I am so looking forward to working with you to build your wellbeing and meditation practice. We will start where you are and develop a personalised road-map, unique to you, to set y0u up for wellbeing success.
